Divorce
We work with men and women at all stages of a divorce or family law matter, from the initial filing through mediation or collaborative law efforts to requests for modification or enforcement of existing divorce judgments. Alimony
In Florida, there is no right to alimony. Instead, the court will examine a number of factors, such as age and health of the parties, earning capacity, and length of the marriage, in order to determine whether a grant of alimony is appropriate. We will help you determine whether an award of spousal support is warranted and, if so, the amount, frequency and duration of payments.
Unlike child support, alimony is not a mathematical equation, but can vary significantly, based on the factors involved. We can also help you seek a post-judgment modification of an alimony order if your circumstances change dramatically.
Property Distribution
We will help you equitably divide the debts and assets of your marriage, including real property, bank accounts and investments, retirement funds and business assets.
